Volunteer and Community Programs

Overview

Community groups and volunteers play a vital role in helping us reach our goals. Each year, hundreds of volunteers and community groups work with us to protect our natural environment. Together we can have a tremendous collective impact.

There are so many ways to get involved in environmental projects with Conservation Halton.  Involvement can be a simple commitment on your part to develop a thorough recycling program in your home to reduce waste.  You can plant a tree, help protect fish habitat, help in research, for example: monitoring fish (through electrofishing and trout spawning surveys) or frogs and other wildlife.

You can volunteer to work with Conservation Halton in its conservation areas or on other projects such as the Halton Children’s Water Festival or the Yellow Fish Road Program.

You can purchase an Annual Pass and take advantage of the wonderful parks and natural areas Conservation Halton maintains. Or you can support the environment by making a donation to the Conservation Halton Foundation.  We have lots of options available for you to help us protect, restore and enhance our natural environment. Please contact us to discuss how you can lend a hand. You can also visit our events calendar for up to date information on upcoming events throughout the watershed.
